Mapping Window

The mapping window is located in the center of the gMap application.

The mapping window is where all of the map layers are actually displayed for the user to see. It interacts with the frame-like panes that surround it on all four sides. For example, as layers are turned on in the Layer Menu they are made visible in the mapping window. There are similar interactions with the toolbar above it and the tab menu to the right.

Within the mapping window you can access some functions via a popup menu. And, directly below the mapping window is its status bar.
