After you zoom and pan to position the mapping window exactly as you want it, you can save the current view of the map as a bookmark. A bookmark saves all of the information about the current view of the map under a name you specify. By using the bookmark in the future, you can go directly to this same view of the map without having to zoom and pan again.

 

To access Bookmarks, right-click in the mapping window and choose Bookmarks from the popup menu.

Note: A Bookmark is not the same as a Favorite Location. A bookmark can only be accessed on the computer it was saved on. A favorite location can be accessed on any computer in which the user is logged in via his/her govME login. A bookmark is actually saved on the user's local computer. However, a favorite location is saved in a database.
