The Labels button allows users to create mailing labels. The following are the steps to create a mailing label list.

Select up to 1,000 Address points and/or 1,000 Parcels in the mapping window. These two layers are turned on by default. The address and parcel layers can be found in the Layer Menu - Property/Plat group.

If you click this button and have not yet selected either address points or parcels then you will get an alert message stating this fact.

After you made your selection and clicked the Labels button you will see:

Select "Site" if you want resident mailing labels only.
Select "Tax Payer" if you want parcel owner mailing labels only.
Select "Site & Tax Payer" if you want both resident and owner mailing labels.
Select "Tax Payer w/Legal Descr" if you want owner with partial legal description mailing labels only.

After you select the type of mailing list desired you will get an alert box telling you how many addresses and/or parcels were selected.

Click the OK button and then you will see a comma delimited list of addresses which have been copied to the clipboard. You can now open a text editor such as "Notepad" and "Paste" the Mailing List into that application. Save your list as a text file. Now you can use it in any application that has a Mailing Label maker such as "Microsoft Word".
