The MapGuide and Prizm Viewer activeX control(s) will not run in the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer.

Typically when a user clicks the "e" symbol to run Internet Explorer that user is running a 32-bit version of the browser. However, if the user is running the 64-bit version then that user will have to just open a 32-bit browser window to run activeX control applications.

If you do not know what version of the browser you are running then check your browser version. If you are running the 64-bit version, then try running the 32-bit version.

Both the Internet Explorer 64-bit and 32-bit browsers may be found/executed by doing the following:

Click on the Windows 7 Start Button typically located at the bottom left of your computer screen.

Click on "All Programs"

You should see 2 Internet Explorer choices displayed in the list of programs. If you do NOT see the two Internet Explorer versions, then try finding IE 32-bit via Windows Explorer .

Open the Internet Explorer application that does NOT have "(64-bit)" next to it.
Open the mapping application or the eVault application like you would normally do.
