Uninstall MapGuide Control

When I try to manually install MapGuide, I get a message that I must uninstall a previous version first. How do I do that?

If prompted to uninstall Autodesk MapGuide ActiveX Control Viewer and you see nothing else like "click next to continue", then find the control and delete it manually.

Depending on how the control was installed initially makes a difference on how to remove/disable it. If the control was installed manually then it has to be removed via the Control Panel. If the control was installed automatically when the mapping application was opened then the control needs to be disabled via Manage Add-ons.

Look in Control Panel.
