The Zoom In button is located between the Pan and Zoom Out buttons toward the left of the bottom row toolbar

The Zoom In button is one button in a set of four that dictate the "mode" of the mouse pointer in the mapping window.

Go to Select ModeGo to Pan ModeGo to Zoom Out Mode

These four buttons are "sticky" buttons. When clicked they appear to be pushed in. Only one of these four buttons can be pushed in at a time.

Zoom In mode allows the user to increase magnification by a factor of two or zooms in to a specific area of the map.

To magnify by a factor of two, click a point on the mapping window to indicate the center of the magnified area.
To zoom to a specific area, drag a rectangle around the desired area in the mapping window, and then release the mouse button to zoom to the enclosed area.
